Luxury Gorilla Safari Tours in Rwanda

Rwanda is one of the adorable tourist destinations on the African continent because of its magnificent unique primates distributed in its two national parks of Volcanoes and Nyungwe. We had an ultimate luxury gorilla tours with Nature Adventure Africa Safaris limited and this was a six days safari where we were to do gorilla habituation at $3000, chimpanzee habituation and also the most interesting golden monkeys.

This was the best in all of the tours we had never made in Rwanda, we landed to the airport early in the morning we went to Hotel des Mille Collins in Kigali city where we had a rest and at around 7am we traveled to Nyungwe national park in the south west of Rwanda. We reached a little bit late but this wasn’t the end. We waited for our second as we stayed at the lodge enjoying games and other interesting videos.

On the second day we went to the park headquarters to get briefed by the guides. These after led us in to this thick tropical rain forest, we covered our selves since its cold this way, we started tracking the chimps but it didn’t take us time to see them since we were with experienced rangers and they had spent their night around. We had paid for habituation whereby we had to spend the whole day enjoying staying with these primates as they get used to the human being.

This was massive to the extent that we enjoyed the way they were shouting at us and the way they used to communicate but we were prohibited from imitating them since in the process we could mean something else which could create suspension to them. Good enough we had moved with our packed meals which we ate at lunch.

In the evening, as we were going back we got in touch by coincidence with the Owl-Faced monkeys and the Dent’s Mona monkeys plus the Black and White Colobus Monkeys among the thirteen primate species. The third day we traveled back to volcanoes national park but we reached a bit late due to the roads that pass through hilly area and therefore we drove 40km/hr. At the volcanoes we stayed at Sabyinyo Silver back Lodge where we enjoyed swimming for the rest of the of the evening.

On the fourth day, we embarked into our land cruiser TXL to the park head quarters where we were briefed and given the guiding instructions of the park and the code of conduct while with the gorillas. We started at exactly 8am via the forests and at this moment we were tracking the Susa gorilla group our of over thirteen gorilla groups in this park. This took us two hours to see them around and this made us to become over excited.

In the process we observed the gentle giant silver back which is said to be the male gorilla and at the same time it’s the head of the family, these kept a keen eye on us, they were too calm and they were just observing what we were doing, we took photos the whole day not until we got tired but it was too good for us to associate with these gentle primates. In the evening we went back to the park for refreshments and also to have a rest in our hotel.

On the fifth day we went back to the park to track the endangered golden monkeys which are rare from the rest of African continent, their numbers was un noticed since though endangered by they had multiplied in numbers. We found them in groups and this enabled us to have a supporting view of them as they were making jokes around the trees, the combination of silver and gold made our luxury primate safari a blended one with nature adventure Africa safaris. On the sixth day we went back to Kigali international airport for our departure since our flight was scheduled at midday.
