Visit Uganda and Tanzania on Self Drive Experience

Uganda is becoming the best tourist destination in Africa. It has 10 national parks which offers wildlife, sightseeing, birds and the primates and you can visit all on your holiday in Uganda and there is 2 ways you can experience this country and these includes escorted and self drive safaris and this means hiring a private vehicle and you drive around all the tourist destinations and it is the same vehicle that you can cross with it to Tanzania.

I and my wife this year we planned to visit Uganda and Tanzania on a self drive experience and I arranged our holiday with one of the best Uganda’s leading company 4×4 Car Hire Uganda and this company offers the best vehicles that is much fit to hit your experience in both countries. At first we wanted to take a Rav4x4 and later we thought for our long trip we should take a big vehicle and Moses offered us the Landy Toyota Land Cruiser and this was so good car that worked out and enabled us to visit all our areas we wanted to visit in Uganda and Tanzania. Queen Elizabeth National Park, offers much of the African wildlife that one wouldn’t miss to visit and this park was named after the Queen of England we wanted to see the park that was named after our Queen, from this park we enjoyed the amazing extraordinary boat cruise along the Kazinga channel which connects the Ramsar Lake George into Lake Edward and on this cruise you can spot very many wildlife species like elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles and bird life species. This boat cruise begins at 2 pm until 5 pm and after have an evening photographic game drive and on our way to the lodge we met a big school of elephants and this shows good work to all conservation bodies fighting for the rights for the elephants and other wildlife species to live in the wilderness!

The visit to the southern Uganda in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, for the gorilla trekking experience is a lifetime memories, we took a double gorilla trekking in the mist, on the first experience we had gorilla trekking tours and then the second time experiencing the gorilla habituation experience and this being a new product at Bwindi forest it’s only done at Rushaga sector and were only 4 clients as the rules and regulations is set for this experience to meet the carrying capacity of the forest and promote gorilla conservation for the future generation, it costs $ 1500 USD per person yet the trekking is $ 600 USD per person.

Later we had a holiday at Lake Bunyonyi and we spent a full day at this Lake and activities here we did the amazing boat cruise visiting the beautiful dotted islands and experiencing the Batwa cultural dances and on this cruise you can spot some of the local and the migratory birds from Europe to the shores of the Lake. Thereafter via the Mutukula border we transferred to Tanzania and we visited the Serengeti National Park which offers the best experience none other than the Wildebeest Migration and we took as many photos and videos and this park is really one of the African natural wonders and after experiencing all that we crossed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and we visited the unique areas of the reserve and to the “Old Vogue” and after we had arranged for the one way rental for the vehicle to be picked from Arusha and we met some cheap fees that could facilitate the vehicle back to Uganda and before we meet with a driver at the bus terminal and then handled everything to him and after we took our 4 days sand beach holiday at Zanzibar islands and we want to say that our holiday was so unforgettable and we want to highly recommend this company for their flexibility and the quality services straight from office where they have a very emailing responding team and offering free pick from the airport at any time you arrive.
